The young men on my son's Jr. American Legion baseball team are playing 11 games in 8 consecutive days. These cookies aren't for them--they are for the dedicated fans that cheer the team on. Don't feel sorry for the players, they have chocolate chip cookies coming their way!

Baking Marathon

What better way to spend a rainy day than with a friend baking over 250 cookies. Between orders and what we need for personal use, we will be decorating 250 cookies over the next two weeks.

St. Paul Catholic Church kindly allowed us the use of their kitchen for this endeavor. We took the ingredients there and made 11 batches of cookies, which would have taken us over 12 hours had we baked them at home in our tiny ovens. We were in and out in four hours. Thanks for the use of the space, oven, cookie sheets, and especially the mixer--Joan was a pro at using it :)

Pigs on the Run!

My teen-age daughter LOVES pigs--so much so that she will not eat pork! For her golden birthday (She is 17 on the 17th), I made these pig cookies with golden bows. Let's see if she can resist these!

Cake Bon Bons

I know I said I would never make cake pops again, but when I saw an idea for german chocolate I just couldn't resist. Besides, these techncially aren't cake pops, they aren't on sticks.

These bon bons are german chocolate cake, pecan coconut frosting, dipped in milk chocolate. This time I melted the chocolate in a double broiler and added about 1/8 stick of parafin. The chocolate was thin and very easy to work with and the cake didn't crumble. Am I back in the cake pop business? Let me just say this-- I'll make bon bons, Joan can make cake pops.

Up Close and Personal!

Here are a few of our summer shapes. I wish that I could take better pictures--I've never photographed food before, but I have respect for those who can! Our cookies look so much better in person!

Summer Fun!

This is a 2 dozen summer-themed arrangement. It is arranged in a sand bucket with 2 views--a front and back. It contains beach balls, smiling suns, flip-flops, watermelon slices, sailboats, and starfish. I made this for my sister--hope you like it Mary!
